Ok, so last week was a ridiculously slow reading week for me for three reasons:

1)            I was exhausted from my day job

2)            I wasn’t enjoying my book

3)            I had a cheeky weekend away with the boyfriend

But I’m back now and I’ve finished the book that I didn’t like (see the review that will be posted tomorrow). So I am playing along with Soph and Suze’s NetGalley Challenge and whilst my score hasn’t budged from 32% I’m gonna keep doing it this week. I haven’t quite decided which books I will be reading if I am honest I’m leaving that up to weird selection methods.

Anyway, I hope you all have a brilliant week.

Ok folks, I didn’t get as much read as I would have liked to this week. I know, I suck. Anywho, this week I am planning on carrying on with my previous TBR pile. I am going to try and read more of my NetGalley books as well. I need to get my percentage up. It is lingering on 32% and it is making me blue.

Anyway, in case you missed the last TBR pile, here is the list of books I am trying to work my way through:

Alice and the Fly by James Rice

The Coldest Girl in Cold Town by Holly Black

McBusted by Jennifer Parker

My Boyfriend Wrote a Book About Me by Hilary Winston

Love Hurts by Malorie Blackman

Standing Room Only by Eva Rice

We Are Pirates by Daniel Handler

The Two of Us by Andy Jones

The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins

I’m gonna throw a few NetGalley ones in this mix.

As a complete side note and completely off topic thing I have a new mini goal of learning all the lyrics to Blackalicious’s Alphabet Aerobics. Just thought you might be interested.

Anywho, good week lovely people and to paraphrase Strictly Come Dancing…Keep Reading…that was a lot cheesier than I thought it would be.

Hello lovely blog readers,

So it is another week and another weekly TBR pile blog post only I technically didn’t get through the last list therefore I am continuing to work my way through that. I am currently reading Lillian on Life but I have the following books from that same list left to read. I am going to intersperse the personal books with some review books. My new list goes:

The Dead Wife’s Handbook by Hannah Beckerman (I am determined to read this one, I am being selfish and reading a non review book for a change)

Alice and the Fly by James Rice

The Coldest Girl in Cold Town by Holly Black

McBusted by Jennifer Parker

My Boyfriend Wrote a Book About Me by Hilary Winston

Love Hurts by Malorie Blackman

Standing Room Only by Eva Rice

We Are Pirates by Daniel Handler

The Two of Us by Andy Jones

The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins (I have to say a big massive thank you to Liam from Bookish Ramblings who sent me this book for entering and winning a competition he hosted.)

February is a rather short month, however, I will have a week off due to half term (score) so I shall get some good bookage down time.

Also, another awesome thing that happened is that mine and Claire from A Book and Tea’s tickets for the UKYA Extravaganza arrived this week. Curiously, they arrived in the post without a stamp on the envelope…curiouser and curiouser.

Anywho, make sure you check out my A to Z of happiness that will be posted on Wednesday.

I hope you all have a great week.

Hello lovely people,

How have you all been? I am good. I know you didn’t ask but I am going to assume that you are all lovely polite people and that you are wondering about my well being.

So I’m not going to talk about the books that I have reviewed this week because all you really need to do is scroll down and you can see them.

I have a list of books that I plan to read and I am not veering from this list. I am sticking to it. Here they are.

Age Sex Location by Melissa Pimentel (Currently reading)

I Was Here by Gayle Forman

Lillian on Life by Alison Jeean Lester

The Dead Wife’s Handbook by Hannah Beckerman

The Coldest Girl in Coldtown by Holly Black

My Boyfriend Wrote A Book About Me by Hilary Winston

Love Hurts by Malorie Blackman

So yep, no one is going to veer me from my course.

Wish me luck!

Hello Bloggeroonies,

So the past few weeks have been hardcore. Work has been hectic and if I am completely honest it hasn’t been quite enjoyable. Hey ho! On to happier things which are:

  • In about five weeks I am going to become an aunty for the first time.
  • I have lovely books that are going to be read.
  • Errrrrmmm….and I only have four weeks left in work. Whoop!

Anywho, I have had a really slow week because the book that I am reading is really pants but because of my ridiculous rule not to give up on a book I can’t stop reading it. Boo. So this week is actually going to have a throwback review.

I’ve decided to not list the books that I am going to read because to be perfectly honest I cannot be bothered – I’m in one of those horrible indecisive moods at the minute and even after a ridiculous amount of hours sleep I still feel meh!

Ooh also, I feel I should be honest with you all. I failed Banuary. And not just a little bit, I mean I completely, one hundred percent failed Banuary. I hang my head in shame….and start to read my book! Ah well, I’m weak, we all know it!

Anywho, hope you are all ok. Let me know what you are reading.
